Local Happinez is a platform where users can post events which are connected to one or more of the sustainability goals, the events are named “happenings”, the uploaders of the event are called “hosts” whereas the people who attend them are “fellow” It’s like Airbnb, but for happenings.
Design.. Prototype.. Test.. Sounds pretty simple and generic, well, who says the design process needs to be complex? this iterative process has led to creation of a design, that prioritises usability and visual aesthetics, also while designing, Usability Heuristics like Visibility of System Status, Match between system and the real world, User control and freedom, Consistency and standards, Error Prevention, Recognition rather than recall, Flexibility and efficiency of use, Aesthetic and minimalist design, Error recovery, and Help and documentation were kept in mind.
The main strength of the app lies in the unified console, which means that the fellows and hosts essentially use the same app, and there is a distinction between the operations they perform, yet the users can navigate the functionalities seamlessly.
